I just don't get Facebook

I've had an account for months, and I have to admit, I just don't get the appeal of Facebook. What am I missing? Someone edumacate me, please.

The way to appreciate Facebook is to look at it as if it's a can opener: You don't have to touch it for months and months, or you can use it 15 times a day. Or go back and forth between the two. The important thing is that when you have a need for which it's the perfect solution, it's there... but you shouldn't try to make up reasons to use it (or love it) more than you do.
