Hyperbole
Writing for Apple Matters, Devanshu Mehta tries to parallel Apple's recent shipment of virus-infected iPods with the e.coli outbreak in spinach.
"How would you have felt if you had E. Coli poisoning- or worse, died- and all the farmer responsible said, 'There is E. Coli in our spinach and we are really upset that human bodies are not more strong and healthy to protect against these things.'"
The difference is that RavMonE.exe doesn't ravage your computer's GI tract and kill you.
I don't disagree that Apple's flippant response wasn't as diplomatic as one would hope, by hysterical hyperbole from the peanut gallery doesn't help.

How does having intel chips make us vulnerable to PC viruses now?
Word to the wise: don't go voting in retaliation just 'cause Bush & Co. is making you angry. When people here did that because they were mad at the current government, all the other party had to do was call their campaign the 'Common Sense Revolution' and get in. Turns out they were five million times worse. Now we have what they've dubbed "Harris Kids": it took publicity over a shooting to highlight what Mike Harris' cuts did to youth, leaving them no alternatives in their community. All of a sudden that community center they've been pleading for like a decade to get is going to be built, according to the current Mayor. The fact Harris authorized a violent police confrontation with First Nations peoples fighting for their rights, with the death of Dudley George, didn't seem to do it. When we had our own water incident -an infected water suply that killed off people wholesale- because of similar beaurocratic pullouts, like the years-long removal of funding for the New Orleans dam that broke, people started to wake up.
And guess whose on the national televised debates gunning for the head of the LIBERAL party now? The premier they were mad at and kicked out in favour of the 'Common Sense Revolution'- Bob Rae himself.
However, he's doing the same fake theatrics Bush did with his cousin in 2004-
(weird thing, that... since Bush Sr. and Junior are only 1 generation apart, the amount of times they are removed from cousins Quayle, Kerry, AND Marilyn Munroe are virtually the same... 9-13... you won't be able to verify if Kerry DIDN't tap Dubya into the Order of Death, affectionately nicknamed the Skull and Bones fraternity when he graduated, since it's a secret society...)
- only Bob Rae's doing it over here with his old University roomate.
