I'm such a slacker
I saw a piece on a news program this morning on Anousheh Ansari, who in a few hours is scheduled to become the first female space tourist.
An Iranian native, she moved to the US when she was a teenager and didn't speak English, has a masters in EE, has founded several companies, and is a self-made billionaire.
And she's only three years older than me.

It's never too late to get started. If you figure out how to get rich in 10 years, you'd still be a multi-millionaire before you hit 50.

Anousheh and her husband made their money the old-fashioned way - they cashed in their MCI stock and maxed their credit cards to start their own telecom company, which they sold before the stock tanked (by some 75%). They are being sued (in a Massachusetts court) for insider trading. Kenny Boy Lay and Martha Stewart, rolled into one - talk about the American Dream!
