Autoexecuting QuickTime movies

Anyone else as irritated as I am with the autoexecuting QuickTime ads that Apple has posted all over its Web site? I like the new Mac and PC TV ads as much as the next guy, but I really don't like having them forced on me each and every time I load up Apple.com.

Which, in my line of work, is typically several times a day.

I agree, this is an annoying new trend. The worst is going to ESPN.com- the ad starts playing with full blast audio as soon as the page loads, and invariably it's something about "erectile disfunction". Does the whole ESPN web site need a NSFW tag now?

I am with you on this one. I feel like turning off javascript for good. That's going to be the next pop-up blocker, a way to run javascript and plug-in only for web-sites that you authorize.

Possibly the single most annoying thing Apple has ever done on the Web.
