Yes. She is. As a person who had a family member die in 9/11, a sister with no husband, and a nephew with no father, I am saddened and angered by her remarks. She admitted in an interview in 2002 that she is a Polemicist, and she seems to get a kick out of being one.

She has become quite rich using this method of debate, but in the process, she is not doing good towards her fellow man and woman. She claims to be a religious fellow, ( she WAS a man right?) but all she does is cloud what is right. I can tell you that as a direct result of my sister's husband's death, she has been able to afford a nice house in Westchester, and her son will be able to attend the best schools money can buy. Her husband was a fireman in New York City, and I can tell you that both of them, in a heartbeat, would trade all their money for their husband and father to be with them again. They used to live in a STUDIO apt, all three of them, and I can tell you Jeffrey Walz was the kindest, most God fearing person I have ever met. I am a pretty much total failure in my own attempts to be a father type figure in my nephew's life, but Jeffery was an amazing Father, and people like him, who gave their own lives to rescue others, are who we should be looking up to in this country.
Some wise religious leaders have said there is one golden rule, "Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself." All the rest is just commentary. It seems to me that Ann Coulter is not a follower of God, or a friend to her fellow man. God have mercy on her soul... or not, I really don't care.
In that respect, Ann Coulter isn't wholly different from John C. Dvorak, although because of her focus on politics and society, her viewpoints tend to cause more extreme reactions in people.
But both tend to stir shit up just for shit stirring's sake. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that she doesn't really believe one-tenth of what she espouses in her books.
But regardless, Ann Coulter's extreme viewpoint gives comfort and aid to people who really are that sick and twisted, and to that end, I really do think she's vile.
