Finally, a break in the weather

New England's monsoon conditions have made national headlines for the past few days; more than a foot of rain has fallen in some parts of the area. Fortunately, that isn't the case for us here on the Cape -- we've had grey, wet weather for days, along with some flooding in low lying areas and lots of standing water -- but we've been fortunately compared to towns like Lawrence and Methuen.

Anyway, this afternoon we saw the sun for the first time in days. It's still quite chilly, but at least it's dry. At least for now. They're predicting more showers later this week.

Yeah, I know this isn't the place, but I just had the desire to bitch to SOMEBODY about the new MacBook's intel 950 gpu. Why did Apple go and ruin a PERFECT machine by sticking in a card that seems incapable of modern gaming? WHY GOD??!!! (Steve?) WHY!!!!???!?!? I would have been grateful for an x1300 at this point. I guess it kind of kicks ass for HD video, Motion, iLife and even Q3A, but I want a nice, DURABLE, portable laptop that is easy on my budget, and that I can play some Doom III, q4, WoW and UT2k4 on. Oh well, guess I'll have to buy a bulky MacBook pro and cry when I inevitably drop and break it. Thanks for "listening" to me bitch.
