Emmeline, at the Apple Store

Emmeline, at the Apple Store

So you have to admit, when Apple gets all the pieces working together, they can work *perfectly*.

The kids and I went to check out Apple's new local store in Hingham, Mass. yesterday, and Emmeline and I stopped in front of one of the new iMacs with a built-in iSight camera. Emmeline thought Photo Booth was pretty cool -- the application lets you take photos of yourself and apply special effects to those photos.

So I took a shot of her looking at the iMac and applied the "colored pencil" effect. Then I mounted my iDisk on the desktop and uploaded the picture. This morning I downloaded the image and stuck it on my Flickr account too.

Good afternoon, sir. I enjoy stopping by on occaison and reading your blog. I haven't seen you over at JimD's forums in a long time. Did you know that your Mark Twain quote is sometimes attributed to Abraham Lincoln?

That is cool. I hope I get to try something like that someday.

You really should be careful of the creepy bearded dude standing behind her.
