Blew out a flip flop, stepped on a pop top

I'm not really that thrilled with the prospect of voting for John Kerry this fall, but I realize he's the only viable alternative to Bush. And while I don't think he's the greatest leader or even a very good one, I'll vote for Kerry out of desperation to get The Other Guy out of office, even though my heart tells me to stick with the Libertarian party like I have since I became old enough to vote.

This whole "Senator Flip-Flop" thing bugs me, too, but mainly because of what it says about political discourse in America, not John Kerry himself. Kerry has clearly reversed direction on more than one occasion, but what's wrong with changing your mind? Since when has pig-headed obstinance been a quality we look for in a world leader?

I'll admit that I'd have preferred, well, most of the other Democratic candidates over Kerry, but I'd even take Bush Sr. over Dubya.

Since you live in Massachusetts - a shoe-in for Kerry - and not one of the "swing" states, why not vote your convictions and stick with the Libertarian party, which needs our votes to keep its status as one of only four certified political parties in the state?

Remember how close we came to repealing the state's income tax in 2002? Vote Libertarian.

I'd be cautious about voting for Kerry. Heard him ramble on about "I will find terrorists rah rah rah" and that's a warning sign. He might be just as bad (worse?) than Bush.

I'd seriously regret it if my fear that Bush would end up as President again winds up true.

Strategic Voting: a messy business. It was tried here, too.

I really doubt Kerry would be any diferent. Dunno if you guys know Clinton was called by the Greeks as "The Butcherer of the Balkans". Lots of people died under Clinton, too. Could scrounge up these factoids somewhere...
