Spam attack

Holy crap. Anyone else with a .Mac account noticing an unusual amount of spam lately? I've gotten probably a hundred or two in the past three days.

Comments

Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Not a lot for me either, but Glenda got maybe 70 yesterday.

I normally don't get many spam messages using my dot mac account -- maybe 3 a day. Yesterday, I got 45.

Seems if Apple has a spam filter, it was down.

Plenty here. 208 in the last two days, I've not seen a surge like this since Thanksgiving day. The biggest surge, especially in those that get past my junk filter, are home finance loan offers that feature not only my real name, but my exact street address. I made up a rule to trash many of those, based on domain name, but it doesn't get all of them.

A ton for me- although Suellen hasn't had much at all. Weird.

They LIKE us, Glenda, the spammers really really LIKE us.

I am jealous of your guys. It seems that the world has lost interest in the size of my bleep and my hair loss. Damn.

Jealous of YOU, guys. I'll make sure to use the preview feature from now on.

I don't have a .Mac account, but my blog has been hit by spammers leaving comments, and my Apple Mail client has trapped hundreds of Junk messages over the last several days.

It's scarey to think that the same people who are stupid enough to open, read and (heaven porfend) buy from spammers also have the right to vote.

My .mac account got spammed like a clearance sale at K-Mart on Friday. I didn't keep track but easily over a hundred during the day.

Hm, no spam has come through on my .mac account, but my IMG email account gets over 100 a day. THAT sucks. Thank goodness for spamfire.

I was away for this past week, and it was quite a surprise to see all those chocolate colored emails when I got back. Far more than usual. That being said, I don't usually get too many, so having 150 emails waiting probably doesn't seem like much to many of you. For me, it's about 10x the junk I usually get.
